Coffee, lunch and thrift

A whole day

for the whole family

A stones throw across from Örbyhus Station you’ll find a cozy little spot that’s MUCH bigger on the inside. It’s a place where you can spend hours browsing for vintage treasures, sit down for a tea or coffee, eat a delicious home-cooked meal prepared from scratch or stay a night in our guest house. And guess what—by stopping by you’re helping to carve out a space where neurodivergent people can find dignified work on their own terms.

Second-hand

Our thrift store is famous for being both clean and well-organized—easy to find what you’re looking for without digging through piles of junk.  We have a mammoth selection of—especially—clothes for unbelievable prices.

Café

A quirky little eatery with a focus on sustainability. We do homemade lunches, crispy waffles, ice cream and amazing coffee, all in a warm, laid-back atmosphere.

Guesthouse

The charming Pensionat Perrongen is our little guest house by the train station where you can doze off in mid-century style and wake to the smell of belgian waffles.

Spektra is a value-driven social enterprise that runs a restaurant, café, and second-hand shop in Örbyhus. They make use of both human potential and items that would otherwise be thrown away or left forgotten in storage. With patience and dedication, Spektra receives donations from local residents and carefully sorts them according to best practices. Items that can be resold are given a new life in the second-hand store. Their commitment creates job opportunities for people far from the labor market and fosters a social meeting place.

Hire a canoe

The Örbyhus local branch of Friluftsfrämjandet, in collaboration with ÖTV, Spektra, and Leader Nedre Dalälven, offers two canoes for rent during May and June at the Örbyhus River, and for the rest of the season at Lake Vendelsjön.

Spektras öppning 2017

Our Mission

Spektra was born out of a desire. We were a group of neurodivergent individuals who wanted to carve out a space for ourselves where our differences weren’t seen as obstacles, but strengths. A place where our variant ways of working became assets, and where work was shaped to fit the person — not the other way around.

Since 2017, we’ve grown alongside the villages around us. Our second-hand shop and café have become a local hub — an oasis where Örbyhus, Tobo, and Vendel come together over coffee, conversation, and great bargains. A place for all kinds of people — just as we envisioned from the start.
